Data and downloads
Every page on AdvisorCensus has a machine-readable twin, every state and metro list can be downloaded as CSV, and the whole directory is described for AI systems in two plain-text files. The data is free to use under CC BY 4.0: credit AdvisorCensus with a link to the page it came from and say that it is licensed under CC BY 4.0.
Downloads
Add .csv to any state or metro list address to download every firm on it, not one page: for example /advisors/tn/nashville.csv or /advisors/tn.csv. Columns: name, city, state, CRD, registration type, years registered, RAUM band, compensation types, and the IAPD link. The first lines name the source period and the page the file came from.
Machine access
Add .json to any firm or list address for the same content as data: /advisors/tn/nashville.json, or a firm page such as the ones linked from any list. Firm pages carry JSON-LD (FinancialService and Organization with the CRD as the identifier); list pages carry ItemList and BreadcrumbList. /llms.txt describes the site for AI systems and /llms-full.txt holds the national, state, and metro answer paragraphs with links. Sitemaps are at /sitemap.xml.
Filtering a list
Every state, metro, city, fee-model, and niche list takes these query parameters, one value each, in its HTML, .json, and .md versions. For example, /advisors/tn/nashville.json?fee=fee-only&raum=100m_500m lists the fee-only firms in the Nashville metro area that manage $100 million to $500 million. sort=years lists the longest-registered firms first and sort=raum the largest first; the default is by name. Each page holds 50 firms; later pages are /page/2 and on, with the same query, and total_firms and total_pages in the JSON give the counts. Filtered pages are not indexed.

Form ADV Part 1 through the SEC's monthly Investment Adviser Information Reports and the IAPD compilation feeds for state-registered advisers, the SEC's Form ADV filing data, and the Part 2A brochure archives; OMB core-based statistical area delineations and the HUD-USPS ZIP crosswalk for metro assignment; American Community Survey household figures for the market paragraphs.
